Managing Security Settings (2FA, Passwords)

Ensuring the security of your PassCash account is crucial. You can enhance your account protection by managing security settings such as enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and updating your password. Here?s how to do both:


Step 1: Access Security Settings

1. Log in to your PassCash account.

2. Navigate to the Security Settings section from your account settings or dashboard.


Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

1. In the Security Settings section, look for the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) option.

2. Click Enable 2FA to start the setup process.

3. Choose your preferred 2FA method (either Authenticator App or SMS).

   - For Authenticator App (e.g., Google Authenticator or Authy), scan the QR code or enter the setup key provided.

   - For SMS, enter your phone number, and you will receive a verification code.

4. After setting up your 2FA method, enter the code sent to your device to verify.

5. Once successfully verified, 2FA will be enabled, and you?ll need to provide an additional verification code each time you log in or perform sensitive actions.


Step 3: Update Your Password

1. In the Security Settings section, click Change Password.

2. You?ll be prompted to enter your current password for verification.

3. Enter a new, strong password (at least 8 characters, including numbers, symbols, and uppercase letters).

4. Confirm the new password by entering it again.

5. Click Save Changes to apply the new password.


Step 4: Verify Password Change

1. You may be prompted to verify the password change via email or SMS for extra security.

2. Follow the instructions in the verification email or SMS to complete the process.


Step 5: Review Your Security Settings

1. Once you have updated your password and enabled 2FA, review your security settings to ensure everything is in place.
